The first meeting with the dean and the deputies of the Faculty of Natural Resources and Marine Sciences, Tarbiat

The first meeting for the “Third International Youth Forum on Soil and Water Conservation (3rd IYFSWC)” with the dean and the deputies of the Faculty of Natural Resources and Marine Sciences, Tarbiat Modares University was held from 13:00 to 14:30 PM on June 8th, 2020.
Prof. Seyed Hamidreza Sadeghi, the head of the Department of the Watershed Management Engineering and the Scientific Secretary of the conference gave a brief explanation about the World Association of Soil and Water Conservation (WASWAC-Founded in 1983) and the all the needful work done so far for the conference. Then, some discussions were made on various issues in connection with better planning of the conference. Prof. Abdolmohammad Abedian Kenari, the dean of the faculty, also emphasized on his support for holding the conference at the highest possible level with maximum precipitation of national and international delegates and participants.
The Third International Youth Forum on Soil and Water Conservation (3rd IYFSWC) will be held in the Faculty of Natural Resources and Marin Science, Tarbiat Modares University, IRAN during May 16-21, 2021). The main theme of the conference is Soil and Water Conservation under Changing Environments. The conference has already received valuable supports of the World Association of Soil and Water Conservation (WASWAC) as the oldest worldwide academic society in the field of soil and water conservation. The aim of WASWAC is to promote the wise use of management practices that will improve and safeguard the quality of land and water resources so that they continue to meet the needs of agriculture, society and nature.

همانطور که در وبسایت همایش نشان داده شده است، به منظور درک بهتر شرایط حاکم بر کل نهادهای علمی و پژوهشی در سراسر جهان و محدودیت‌های دانشگاهیان و پژوهش‌گران برای دسترسی به دفاتر کار، داده‌ها، آزمایشگاه‌ها و امکانات، مهلت ارسال چکیده و مقالات کامل هر کدام یک ماه تمدید شد. سپس ما از همه شما می خواهیم در حالی که اقدامات ایمنی مناسبی را برای ایمن ماندن در برابر ویروس کرونا انجام می دهیم ، مشارکت خود را مطابق با انتخاب خود آماده ، نهایی و ارسال کنید. علاوه بر این ، تحریک همکاران ، دوستان و دانشجویان برای مشارکت فعالانه بسیار قدردانی می شود.

Deadlines for submissions were extended

Based on the joint decision of conference organizers (WASWAC and Tarbiat Modares University), the abstract submission was again extended to 23:59 GMT, 31 January 2021, mainly because of author requests to consider the effects of COVID-19 pandemic on research avtivities.
Please be informed that uploading full text and application form before 31 January 2021 is also necessary to participate in WASWAC Youth Outstanding Paper Award (YOPA).

تائید مقالات دریافت شده برای جایزه مقالات برتر جوانان WASWAC

By Jan 31, 2021, the WASWAC Youth Outstanding Paper Award 2021 (YOPA 2021) received 51 confirmed applications with full papers (the list is shown below). The award will move forward to the second phase of evaluation that will take about 2 months. The final result of awardees will be announced on the WASWAC website and website for the Third International Youth Forum on Soil and Water Conservation (IYFSWC) in April 2021.

There are some key points that all applications need to pay special attention to. 

We have received 98 applications with abstract but only 51 applications with full paper were finally received. Only the applications with full paper received by the end of January are valid, as shown in the list at the end of this post.

All awarded papers will be requested to submit to the official Journal of WASWAC International Soil and Water Conservation Research (ISWCR, IF=3.770). Therefore, please hold the listed paper for submission to journals other than ISWCR until the YOPA awardees are announced. If you have submitted or is planning to submit your YOPA nominated paper to ISWCR, please inform us the YOPA ID (WASWAC_YOPA_###) and the journal assigned ID through email to waswac-yopafoxmail.com.

If the paper finally awarded was submitted to other journals before the announcement of the award result, the award will be rescinded. The papers rejected by ISWCR and then submitted to other journals are exempted from this requirement.

The evaluation of YOPA and review of ISWCR is independent of each other.

در این جلسه، نتایج داوری مقالات و کمیت و شکل ارائه مقالات (شفاهی / پوستری) تصمیم گیری شد.
